Easter 2022

Almerta station. Shearer's quarters, we've got the whole place. Sheets and towels are provided, bring your own pillows. Bring towels for the rock pools/springs though!

Get there Thursday afternoon, leave Tuesday morning.

  • Each family does their own breakfast
  • Milk, each family brings their own
  • Mountain of Easter eggs for a hunt
  • Bring your own tea for Thursday night
  • Shared picking platter for lunches
  • Each family does one main meal (plan in table below)
  • All bring nibbles to share

Moore family: We are doing baked potatoes with different toppings for the shared meal

Bob and Ronni: We’ll bring lamb and veggies/salad for Friday night.

Szemis family: We’ll make chicken stir fry with rice for our dinner.

Trigg family:

Ali - lactose and gluten free-ish, but I'll be eating a bit at Easter!
Lucy - can't have massive amounts of lactose, but fine with most things.

Szemis family: Lizzie - gluten, dairy, sugar and mushroom free. As low carb as possible. Can eat some rice and potato.

Moore family: Eli is gluten and dairy free. Intolerant to nuts, corn, rice, eggs and peas. Can have them in things but not on their own. We all only drink soy or almond milk but will bring that of course. A bit of dairy is ok for the rest of us

Bob and Ronni: Gluten free and low carb.

  • Each family bring some eggs for a hunt and some eggs for your family
  • Let's combine the hunt eggs and then each kid can get the same amount from the hunt
    • Parents can give their family easter eggs separately
  • Bring some eggs for an adult hunt too!
  • Bikes and helmets
  • Board games
  • Bathers and towels for the rock pool
  • Firewood
  • Coffee machine - Bob and Ronni
  • Fridge space? Plenty, and Bob will bring a portable fridge as well

'What does the cross represent?

The cross represents Jesus's sacrifice for us all so that we can spend eternity with him instead of going to hell. It also represents Jesus’s great love for us all.

Who is Jesus to you?

Jesus is my father and the best friend you could ask for. He is the savior of the world, and our lord and savior.he is the only one to ever lived a perfect life, because he is God.

Through your learning of the Cross what stands out to you?

The fact that he died for all of us inderviserly stands out to me. He could have just gotten off that cross, but instead he stayed up there. He loved us too much to get down. Through all of that pain and suffering he stayed put.'
